The Role
We are looking for a Technical Administrator to join our established and growing Financial Services team at New Forest Wealth Management.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with Financial Services or Wealth Management experience who enjoys the more technical side of administration and would like the opportunity to develop their knowledge and potentially progress towards a career in Paraplanning.
Working closely with our Financial Advisers and Paraplanning team, you will help gather and analyse client and provider information, undertake research and ensure cases are properly prepared and progressed.
We are a busy, dynamic and friendly team, so we are looking for someone who is organised, accurate and comfortable taking ownership of their workload while working collaboratively with colleagues.
What You'll Be Doing
Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing and obtaining Letters of Authority from clients
Requesting detailed information from providers
Obtaining ad-hoc client valuations and plan information
Analysing provider and plan information
Liaising with clients and providers and keeping clients informed of progress
Checking and updating client valuations
Undertaking fund research, including using Financial Analytics
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records on Salesforce and OneDrive
Using Policy Services, including onboarding clients to the platform where agreed with the Financial Adviser
Supporting Financial Advisers with financial report preparation
Providing technical and administrative support to our Paraplanning team
Assisting with analysis of client requirements and cash-flow modelling
Researching financial products and solutions to meet client objectives
Supporting financial planning across areas including investments, retirement, tax and estate planning
Responding to client, provider, telephone and email enquiries
Ensuring work is completed accurately, professionally and in accordance with regulatory and compliance requirements
Full training and support will be provided in areas where required.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Methodical, organised and highly accurate
Comfortable working in a busy Financial Services environment
Able to manage priorities and complete work within agreed timescales
Confident communicating with clients, providers and colleagues, both by telephone and email
A self-starter who can take ownership of tasks
Keen to develop their technical knowledge
Someone with excellent attention to detail and good written and verbal communication skills
Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Previous experience within Financial Services or Wealth Management is desirable, and experience within a St. James's Place Practice would be advantageous but is not essential.
Experience with systems such as Salesforce, Financial Analytics and CashCalc would also be beneficial.
